Ewe Alzen did it in a 700bph turbo in 6:51 mins on the Nordschleife distance circuit.
This is a road going race car although I doubt it would be accepted as road going in the US.

If you haven't seen the DVD you seriously don't know what your missing.
You will not believe it until you see it. It's just incredible. Seriously!

That must be some nice made up rumor about the Enzo. I've never seen anything in print of the Enzo ever running the Nring for a time. Walter Rohrl did a 7:28 at the Nring as stated in Autobild. Fat chance of seeing an Ezno beat that.

Actually, rumors are you won't see an Enzo anytime soon on nurburgring. Ferrari has refused to allow any Enzo be tested at the ring (hence Sport Auto and Horst Von Saurma has tested and compared all the supercars except the Enzo at the ring and Hockenheim)... I wonder why.

So far the only "track" comparo that shows the Enzo withCGT and other cars is the one Auto Motor did at a small track in Italy for the Handling course, and at Nardo for the top speed part. Results: The CGT beat the Enzo at the short track by one full second: CGT= 53.86, Enzo= 54.98, Murcielago= 55.82, SLR= 57.45, DB9= 58.82, Bentley GT= 61.66.

So don't expect the Enzo being compared or tested next to the CGT at Nurburgring anytime soon.

The Enzo is at a disadvantage at the Ring because it was primarly developed for smooth 21 st century F1 race tracks like Malasyia , Bahrain and China and there is a good chance it would out perform the Carrera Gt on those tracks.

I have or had a video that showed Walter Rhorl (sp?) testing the GT, Gallardo and Enzo around the 'Ring. Didn't understand any of it really but I'm sure Walter said the GT is far superior at the track...biased?? I think not
