Default CGT at WGI for HSR

Was this anyone's car? It was parked near the paddock at Watkins Glen during the HSR weekend (Sunday at least) with Cali plates. Was this anyone's car?

I can't say how cool it was to get that close to one in person. One awesome machine.

Was the CGT tracked at Watkins Glen? If so, which run group?

Car was at Watkins Glen for the club race on Saturday. Owner lives in Horseheads (about 15 miles from the Glen) and drove it to WGI. Said that you don't just get in it and drive, you have to plan your trip to avoid high curbs, sharp driveways, etc. due to the minimal clearance.

Did take a few cold laps during lunch... car sounds like a Ferrari v10 race car.

Unfortunately I wasn't there myself, but a friend of mine took these pictures...it'a black CGT (as you all can see :P ) being tracked at Spa Francorchamps on the 17th of may 2004. I heard he was actually pushing it, rather then cruising around How cool is that?

Hi TonD,

Very nice pix.

I couldn't help to notice that the brake calipers are RED!

Very interesting, since all other pix (or actual cars) I have seen have Speed Yellow brake calipers.

Anyone know about this as a color option? It's not in the order guide!

W8MM, it's funny. I hadn't noticed it before this post, but last weekend I had my first encounter with a CGT (see other topic), and so I just noticed it too. It might not be an option in the lists, but I'm sure with a car this extraodinary expensive you could have them purple if you wanted to!

I didn't notice until you mentioned it.

It looks like it could be covered in interior leather. I've seen pix of a carbon fiber shift **** on a yellow car sitting in the Leipzig customer area and it had a different look to it.

I'd say this car has had a trip to the Exclusive Department

BTW, I have not heard of the MY 2005 CGT order guide being available yet. It seems to be delayed a bit. However, I obtained a copy of the PCNA computer order sheet for my car and it had two line items on it for option 98 Paint-to-Sample. One for the car and one for the top halves. YMMV.

Prompted by these timely pix, I currently have a request in for details on how to get red brake calipers for my car. I think Speed (or Fayenece) Yellow brakes would be a major fashion faux pas on a Signal Yellow car. The red calipers on my Signal Yellow 996TT look great, and I'd prefer this option if it turns out to be available somehow.

Cheers,

Mike I think you're correct, does look more like interior leather. Incidently, my dealer is still in denial of whats on, or existence of the CGT order guide. This is so frustrating. Regards.

Here's some shots of the one from WG. I wish I had the chance to hear it. Actually the owner is from CA and his parents live nearby to WG. He said he trailered it from CA.

This must be the same one I was drooling over at Rector several weeks ago. The sales dude said the car was going to New York.
