Default CGT ruining me

After experiencing the CGT a few times, I'm considering selling everything I own except something from opposite end of spectrum, like an early 911. Even my FOREVER 997-4.0 might go up on the block. It just makes everything else feel pedestrian

First world problems.

JR....I’ve had that thought sooo many times. I’d keep at least one 911 to accompany the CGT.

I'm sure I will keep a 911 in the end. But probably not 4-5 911s like I have now. Some of that is a function of being spread across 2 continents. Regardless I do believe buying the Cgt will ultimately shrink my small collection smaller, in the end. See, it is ACTUALLY cost effective to buy a Cgt; yet another reason to own one!

But I have NEVER turned the keys to the 997-4.0 and thought I could live without it like happened this weekend.

Cost effective... until you succumb to what many owners do and buy a second CGT!

Yeah, it already crossed my mind. But I think I can walk away from the ledge on that one.

You're in the Honeymoon stage..enjoy every minute of it! But...take it from a guy that's been married 15k miles. Trust me, you're going to want to keep the 4.0 around

Pretty much the same predicament as you...

After the CGT the only thing that gets my heart rate up is the Cup in wheel-to-wheel racing.

The rest of the fleet is seeing a massive makeover like you said. Can't think of them in the same light anymore. The 964 Turbo 3.6 may be the first to get axed just coz I can't tolerate barge boats anymore...

04 / 996 RS – Queen Mother (being nip-tucked) (NOT PRETTY, BUT IT'S THE INNER BEAUTY THAT MATTERS)
95 / 993 RS – Her Revirginized Highness (KEEP IT)
93 / 964 Turbo 3.6 – Fat Royal Cousin (DUMP AND GET 964RS/RSR)

19 / 991.2 RS – New Girl Fancypants. ( MISTRESSES COME AND GOES. KEEP IT A YEAR THEN THE RED LANTERN GOES TO NEXT CHIC)
18 / 991.2 Cup – Carrera Cup Warhorse (RACE CAR DOESNT COUNT)

Fair point. There have been plenty of cars I've been blown away by during the honeymoon phase before i start to notice any of the "faults". CGT takes the honeymoon phase to a whole new level but it's honeymoon nonetheless. Your comment hit home. I planned to wait quite a while before I thinned the herd any because what I do have in the semi-perm collection has survived well past the honeymoon, for good reason.
