Is the world more or less done with the HP race? Weight and Aero is the direction?
For lap times weight and aero. Tires can only handle so much HP / TQ anyway

The next round of LE's seem to be in the 8's - one car debating to order that's 3 years out hits 1000+ but I'm not sure in 3 years that will be a big deal.

Senna will be a great car for a long time 500 vs 750 was a mistake - looking forward to Mercedes / Aston's competing.

Aston 12 cylinder NA Cosworth engine 1130 hp 2200 lb.s is insanity.

Working on a full article about the Senna on track from my experience at Estoril.

In short: there is no road legal car that can do what this car does. ~800hp is cool but the ~2700lbs is best and the downforce is INCREDIBLE.

Blows the P1 away on track.
It's still very weird looking.
The seats are amazing.

Articles and pics soon.

I'm not one of the 500, but i had the pleasure and honor of driving the Senna during Car Week. We drove it back to back in a lead follow with the P1, and in brief, the Senna made the P1 feel slightly ponderous. I think i already did a write-up with youtube video on the "Mclaren Success" thread so I won't duplicate here, and anyway, CJ's description is way better than mine. Suffice to say however, the synergy between lightweight and such big downforce is really, really, impressive. That and the feeling that all the systems in the car are working in union to continually adapt the behavior to that moment's pitch, g-force, speed etc.. it's like, the handling remains perfect just like in a videogame of old... even in hard turns (on the road) it just feels like it's barely trying. Maybe slightly wider front rubber would be my guess, but i'm sure it was set up conservatively to stop people from crashing.

from a value standpoint.. as probably the 2nd to last full IC Mclaren (800LT probably last one), i see this taking a place in history similar to an F40. Maybe misunderstood at birth, but completely appreciated later for being a bold uncompromising design and concept which sits apart from anything else on the market, before or after it.

Anyway, congrats to the 500 who are getting one.. this is one to go drive, hard.

I find them beautiful in the same way a Fieseler Storch is beautiful. Purposeful beauty.
