This advertisement from the 1980s is a prime example of why Porsche has every right to be smug.

In 1983 I was at the Porsche Parade in Missouri attending a National Board Meeting. Someone burst into the meeting holding up that headline. Made such a stir the meeting was aborted and rescheduled. My favorite racing headline of all time. As a matter of fact, I personally like it better than "Iwo Jima", Ali vs Liston', "Carlos/Smith Olympics", "Malcomb X", "Nixon Dog", "Tank Man", "Owens/Hitler" and "Einstein. On the other hand, "Marilyn" was pretty good!!!
