The Bburago 356 models are actually very nice, for what they are. At least this is before Bburago was bought by Maisto. The pre-Maisto Bburago 356's also have incredible paintwork for what they are. I haven't seen a Maisto-ized Bburago in person, so can't speak for its paint.
Keep in mind that Maisto has progressed quite a bit since 1997. In 1:18, dog leg doors and brake-less wheels are gone (except for models carried over from the older eras). I think the 996 and 997.1 models (granted, from when they were dealer-supported) are some of their best models. Well, their absolute best model might be the Gullwing, with real cloth seats
Hmm. 1:18? Red, yellow, black, white, green, purple, silver? How'd I do? If 1:24 should be red, blue, yellow? and, I don't know.
Apparently the CMC 901 is an amazing model. It has an opening gas flap and real torsion bars. Oh, and real lugnuts.
Take care,

Go to page two and three of this thread. My question about if it had actual torsion bars was originally in jest. Then he said it really has torsion bars. Pretty amazing!
Pocher 1:8 993 is also a cool model. Rare though.
Happy Holidays!

If you have a UT Porsche, and want to swap wheels....
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Modellauto-Fe...item3cda5cc6eb
No affiliation. Twists, Cups, Targa Speedlines and RS Speedlines!
All the wheels except for two sets look to be from a UT. One is a series-II set: the series-I tires won't fit on those wheels.
However, good luck removing the existing wheels!

When I ordered my 991 GT3RS, my sales person was nice enough to keep me in mind when these models came out and when the car was launched. The model was originally ordered and came from Germany. He secured one for me with the same color as the car I ordered. Just a very cool memento that came along with my car.

You had a stand up salesman. Mine try to get me one, same car, but another salesman snatched it up when they arrived and kept it for himself. Despite paying a stupid amount of money to get my RS, I couldn't convince the salesman to even sell the model to me.

I crewed for Barbour racing at Le Mans in 79 and 80. I have 1/43 of all 6 cars but a duplicate of the 79 yellow car that I would like to sell. I also have a duplicate of the "Toys for Big Boys" liquor bottle red car available? Anybody interested in buying or trading?

What a Bummer. It would have been great had your salesman been able to get you one. The other salesman who kept that model should not have gotten that model if he did not sell a 991 GT3RS at the dealership.
I suggest try EBay if and hopefully you are able to acquire one for not so much money. The model looks really cool and I have it in my den/office at home.
