Default New Porsche garage finally arrived, lol.

finally got the new display case (garage) finished and realized I will need two. Still sorting out the collection, but turned out pretty nice. Yes I know the 991 GT3 is missing on the street car shelf, I am waiting on my Miami blue 991.2 gt3 from CK models, so in the meantime there is a 997 GT2 in its place.

No, 1:18 scale.

got the new MB 991.2 GT3 in today, color is dead on to the real Porsche Miami Blue.

finally found the missing 996 GT3 RS, white with blue wheels, coming in from a collector in Germany, please get here safe. I am done with GT3/GT3RS street cars, still considering getting a 997 GT3RS 3.8, I have the 997 GT3RS 4.0, so close, lol.

No I don’t play with these, lol, for one they are way too expensive and fragile, it’s just cool to have my favorites in a nice case in my home office.

Very cool.
I have a small collection of 1/18 as well and find myself running low on display space. Great looking case.

After reading the title I thought it was real cars collection, lol. Awesome collection btw.

I really want to have the 918 scale model.

I got this case at IKEA, $169. It came with (2) glass shelfs so I had (2)) more made at a local glass shop. It’s about 45” tall 32” wide, 16” deep I believe. It’s a locking case and seals up pretty tight. I did purchase some 1/32” adhesive felt to to put on the inside edge of the doors and that will insure no dust can get in. As we diecast collectors know dust is a PITA to deal with.

what color are you looking for, Minichamps make a great 918 1:18 scale model, runs about $175, Welly makes a 1:18 scale that’s not as detailed and not as refined for about $50-75.

if you just want to have “an example” get the Welly, it you want a almost miniature version of a 918 get the Minichamps.

Would you mind posting some pictures of where you put the adhesive felt? Awesome collection! I have quite a few but lower quality.
