i tried to have mine upgraded to the performance package and it could not be done because the performance package upgrade is VIN specific and not all VIN's can be upgraded

Is +40 HP worth $10K?

Is 400 HP and 405 lb/ft of torque not 'sufficient'?

The concept of 'worth it' is wholly in the eyes of the beholder - and completely subjective.

Many years ago I drove VW buses with 75 HP. While sufficient to make the 3200 lb. vehicle go (at up to 85+ MPH), was it 'worth it'? It worked, although I did not many races past the first 10 or 12 feet from a stop...

Your father should buy whatever will make him feel happy... There's a really nice 959 over in the classified section...

They're 3x performance macan turbo for sale in canada and none in my province. So, its kinda hard to try one.

Im assuming you could put a cobb tuning in the turbo and its gives you that extra 40hp...

You'll pay a lot more than the 10k getting some factory power kit options from Porsche...I always think faster is best unless it's for a teenager.
