Default My Macan turned into a boat! Navigation and GPS issue

According to my sat nav on my 2017 GTS, my car is driving in the Long Island Sound! The navigation system is messed up, and has me about 100 miles from where I actually am. This has happened twice before. When I check the system it is showing 0 satellites connected. Any ideas on the issue and a fix? I don't want to spend time at the dealer if it can be avoided. Thanks !

My first thought is the cable to the gps antenna has come loose or broken. My 997 behaved the same way after the tech who replaced the cabin air filter didn't reconnect the lead properly and it came loose. I'm not sure where the antenna is located on the Macan, though.

Thanks cviles - heading to the dealer to get them on the case. Seems like others on the Macan forum have not had a similar issue so far.

I used to get a similar nav location error in my BMW when the battery ran low. A loose connection can produce similar difficulties. Nav loses location.

The oddly large 928 contingent recently posting on this forum are all thinking the same thing: "Which one of you is the U-boat commander?"

Did you ever find what the issue/solution was to this? I ask as I am having the same issue. Also, do you know how or where the antenna cable routed?

Thank you!

Hi yes, It was a loose connection at the antenna, which is located at the top middle of the windscreen somewhere inside the roof module. The dealer fixed it in 10 mins. It has now happened again, right after I got a cracked windscreen, going into get fixed again once the screen is replaced.

Interesting, that occurred to me after the front windshield was replaced. Thank you for the response!

The least PCNA could have done is drop you in the Caribbean. It is a Porsche after all, not a Toyota...

Do you know where the GPS antenna is on 997 ?
I have a PCM 2.1 in my 2006 997 first série. My GPS stopped working. On Status shows 0 satellites. Is the GPS antenna inside the Navigation box, or somewhere else outside? Thanks for any help ,
