Too late for what? If you have the factory installed front mount then the holes have already been drilled in the bumper.

When we took delivery in May, the front license plate mounting bracket had not been dealer installed. Dealer had put it under the trunk floor next to the spare. I don't run a front plate on any of my vehicles and haven't been hassled though UT state law requires one.

argh, kind of what I figured. bumper plugs?
the new mounts looks great, not as bulky

Yeah, I'm also in N VA. When I took delivery of my GTS at Porsche Tysons this year, that was the first Porsche where I had them leave the front alone...no drilling! So far, so good. I've had other (non-Porsche) vehicles where I didn't want to run the front plate either. If forced to at some point, I'll get the Mustang mount/setup.

Unfortunately at this point, your only option is probably some decent bumper plugs as you mentioned.

Hi,

Can I know which mount did you use and where can I buy it from? I have a 2016 Macan S and I am looking for a similar solution that is centered, doesn't need holes in bumper and doesn't mess with the sensors.

Thanks!

Carbonio offers a center mount solution that does not interfere with parking sensors, does not require any drilling or adhering of anything to the car, & can be installed and removed in seconds:

I might be interested in the carbonio, but are there better pictures from side view, etc? Website is lacking with good pics tbh.

Here is a video that will better show the mount and the installation variations possible. The car in the video is a Ferrari but the basic principles to the Macan are the same as they both share an 'egg crate' style front grille:

I found Sly Brackets when searching around for a no drill option--it's built extremely well and and once you get it assembled is very easy to use. It is essentially three parts: two clamps and one plate frame. When you screw the plate frame to the clamps, that is what tightens the clamps onto the grille--extremely smart engineering.

I like these solutions. Anything to avoid drilling.

Does the Porsche factory have to put on a plate even for just getting it transported to the ship? European delivery I can accept.

Transported to port NO but European Delivery YES. We have had a number of customers do European Delivery and take our mounts with them. We have even shipped them straight to Porsche for installation before European Delivery.

Thanks Carbonio. I'll contact in a few months when my Macan arrives at dealer.
