Default 2017 GTS price

I am looking to buy a 2016 GTS and the dealer has offered to sell it to me at 5% off sticker. What is everyone else getting?? I read on here in Sept 2016 some were getting 6% off MSRP??

I also got 6 and I configured mine. If it's already laying around I would ask for maybe more. The worst they can say is no.

8% off of an in stock unit was the number I received and that was in October. They have cooled since then so you should have more willing dealers today.

Is it true that Porsche dealer won't discount if you European delivery on a car?

True. There is no real incentive for them to do so. And it's more paperwork on their part to do so. The discount for any purchase is up to the dealer.

Some manufacturers give standard discounts as a perk (Audi for instance) but Porsche does not.

Oh that sucks, I guess I start looking at dealer inventory now instead of build online.

Not true across the board for Porsche. I received a few percent off of list for my 911, which I picked up in Stuttgart last spring. I suspect that the same would be true for a Macan. There probably isn't a formal Porsche policy behind discounting European delivery cars but some dealers likely use it as an excuse to tell customers that they won't discount. Reportedly it does cost the dealer 3k to arrange the process, but they receive an allocation for an additional car and they make it back there.

1% extra on $85k sticker = $850. Would you really let that sway you on the deal?

Sure they will, but about $3K less than they otherwise would, as the dealer is already chipping in that extra $3K for euro delivery.

It's not the $850, it's the point!! If the world of car selling is gonna play games with the price/ value of their cars then you/me as the buyer have to do the same!!

Autos are too big of a purchase not to save as much as you can! And the dealers are making 99% of the dealerships money in the repair shop so why not keep your money in your pocket!
