I have a 16 Macan S that is new, and I'm using an Escort 360 Max detector. Sometimes when I start the car the detector will immediately signal Ka band coming from behind, medium strength, several sources. Does not stop. Wondering if it's picking up the blind spot detection? If I unplug it and plug it back it it will stop.

Anyone had a similar experience?

I have a Passport Max and have had similar things happen in a 2015 Audi S4 with blind spot monitoring I've never had it happen from a standstill, but I have had the detector begin giving consistent Ka signals while driving. Cycling power seems to resolve the issue.

I have to guess that both of you have blind spot monitoring. That system probably goes through a startup sequence and transmits in the Ka band temporarily.
