JUst saw our local dealer's service Manager at a Porsche event today. He has no idea when parts will become available.

Talked with the GM on Saturday and he has no info on the vehicles at port. I informed him that if it lasts much longer the vehicle will be last years model on delivery. They have an open allocation for MY 2017 locks in Jan and delivery on Feb. just a tad bit upset now as my trade in loses value.

If it will cheer you up any, at least you're not driving around in a potential fire hazard like the rest of us!

What is the issue? Has there been any public communication of this? It seems too hush hush. So I wonder if it's truly dangerous.

haven't heard anything on my wife's turbo yet.

was hoping it would also address the AC whine at 2200 rpm that seems to plague the 2016's, but no such luck.

Im all over it I called Porsche USA today and have a open case number. I was told that my Macan has a open ticket for the recall and cannot be released from Port until fixed. ETA is unknow on the part and the repair.
They also said that this is the worst time of year for this to happen with a very high demand for Macan sales. And they are working around the clock with manufactures for the part.
I called my dealer who has been absolutely useless since after getting my deposit and he knew nothing has no information and said the usually " I will call you back " and he never does.
I must say this has been the worst car buying experience ever and I purchased a lot of cars and over the last 26 years. The dealer / SA is a zero since my deposit and I was a very easy Customer and not bothersome at all.

Just looked up my car's VIN and nothing came up. Either they haven't recalled it yet - strategically - due to limited supply of replacement parts or my car is not affected?

Try again. Be sure you enter the VIN properly. O is a 0.

There is only 1 digit that could potentially be an O but I tried with O and it said invalid VIN. Tried with 0 and it said no open recalls. My car is the 70000th unit.

I also ran my VIN and it said no open recalls. Has anyone with a recalled car found it on the website?

Not sure if they have even pushed this through, I just had a service and was told that there is a recall, but as already stated, no parts. SA said they would inspect the car, if they did not see any problems the release the car back to me until parts came in. If a problem was seen then they would keep my car and give me a loaner until parts become available. When the parts do start coming out, the macans that are waiting delivery are the first to get, macans with discovered problems are second and the rest of us last. Mine did not show any problems so they gave it back after my service was done. SA did not have any estimate when I would get the call to complete this.
