I was really hoping that the Macan S would achieve >26 mi/gal on the highway, and easily >20 mi/gal in mixed driving. I do not want to buy a heavy diesel in order to achieve better fuel economy.

I get around 19/20 on hwy in my BMW X5M 4.4 twin turbo. I was hoping, as this is going to be the selling point to the wife, that the Turbo would be in the 24-25 hwy range.

I just drove 500 miles and the average mpg was 20-21 @ an average speed of 67-69 mph. I have a turbo. Jeff

1700 miles on S, 22.5 mpg, about 75% hwy, 25 % city. Gets about 27-28 mpg at steady 75 mph @ 2,000 rpm. (19" wheels). Better than expected. I use ethanol-free 91 or 93.

I have less than 800 miles on my Turbo and am seeing about 17mpg, 70/30 city/highway driving- not great mileage but I'm fine with it. On a few ~30 mile highway drives, I've gotten roughly 25mpg, but city driving and pushing the car even slightly sucks up the gas.

Thanks guys - lets keep this thread going. I'm very interested to see what these cars do especially the S. I spec'd and ordered one this past week. I have a long commute but want a fun car since I spend so much time driving. The Macan seemed to fit the bill in terms of a do it all drivers car. My only concern is the mileage. I'm not looking for a fuel sipper, something that will get 22-24 average - 80% highway is fine.

My wife's Cayenne S 400 hp heavy *** SUV gets 16-17 - 100% city driving. I'm just really surprised the Macan with a 3.0/3.6 isn't doing better.

Just took delivery of the turbo. Not many miles on it yet but the mileage looks like it is going to disappointing. We traded in the Cayenne Hybrid, it was getting a combined 21-22 mpg. I was hoping due to the weight savings that the Macan would be at least equal to this. Heck my 991tt can easily get 27-28 mpg on the highway.

Have a turbo with 2k miles on now. Just did a 600 mile round trip in UK mostly motorways and average 29mpg (UK gallons) cruising at 70 ish mph average. Car has averaged 26mpg since new and seems slightly better now after some miles.

i wish 17/23.

ive never gotten over 20 on highway, even without sport and with auto off/coast on.

i get 13 in city at most.

^^^ that's really odd. On the highway, I consistently get over 20+, sometimes 25+ depending on the direction of travel. With about 1100 miles on the clock, I'm close to 18mpg in my Turbo. I'll take it.

I've actually been driving with the Auto Start/Stop engaged for the last 100 miles or so, it's been a pleasant surprise. I actually don't mind it and don't find it nearly as intrusive as it was on my 958.

I've got about 1000 miles on my Turbo and average 17mpg with mixed city/highway driving always in sport mode, start stop off, and AC on. When I first got the car I was getting closer to 20mpg. This is way better than I was getting when I had my first year Cayenne Turbo so I'm happy.

Currently on a road trip. Drove 500 miles yesterday. Adaptive CC set at 83mph so it accelerated and braked at will. 22.5 mpg on trip odometer. I have been as high as 25mpg driving 70 for around 100 miles.
