Lack of SC in the Turbo will hardly make a difference at resale. It hasn't in the case of other Porsches and it won't in the Macan, particularly when the core component of SC, Sport Mode, is already standard. I wish I had saved my money for my current ride and not ordered Sport Chrono Plus.

Sport + is only useful for the track. I find it's too aggressive otherwise. How many times would I want to use Launch Control to get that extra acceleration time on the street? Hardly ever. But Sport Mode is great for all other times, whether it's city driving or highway passing.

I think launch control is a gimmick, I'd never use it! Why do you think Sport+ is only useful on the track?

Because he finds it too aggressive otherwise.

I have launch control in my current car (Golf R) and I use it maybe once every two months - it's not a gimmick, it's actually really fun.... but it's just pointless on the public roads.

I had LC on my e92 M3. Going through the steps was tedious, but get it right, and it was a blast. It pushed you deep into your seat. That was with a car that had 295 ft lbs of torque. I can't imagine what it'll feel like in the Macan with 400+

I think Sport+ would be worth Sport Chrono option, dont think I'd ever use LC beyond the 1st time just to play with it ...

I have Sport+ on my 997.2 PDK and am now thinking I can go w/o it on the Macan (though I keep going back and forth). To be fair, when I first got my car I thought Sport+ was insane (it still is) and loved turning it on. I still love using it at the track but don't use it much on the street anymore, instead I have started manual shifting in Sport mode (seems like the most fun street setup recently). I would suggest at least test driving something with PDK and Sport+, be it Macan/Panamera/Carrera before deciding for sure, it's thrilling no doubt and you should know what it's like. Gears are kept low, rpm's are kept high, and power is on tap whenever you want it. Oh, and I believe the stability management intervention is minimized when you're in Sport+, though I don't know to what extent.

Bottom line, it's a fun mode, but if you have Sport already, that is great for the street and still pretty good for the track, at least on a Carrera. Another thing to keep in mind is that Sport+ on a Macan could be somewhere between Sport and Sport+ on a Carrera in terms of aggressiveness, if this is the case, Sport Chrono starts looking like a more exciting option.

Have u thought about adding the package for just a few hundred more? You added many of the options individually, seems you're close to the package price.

Thanks for the tip. I would actually prefer not having the panoramic roof that comes with the package. I've seen a similar option on the Q5 and it is very nice but I think an entire roofliner in Alcantara will look great as well. That and I'm fairly tall so the additional headroom could be helpful.

Best option there is the European Delivery
