Has the transfer case issue been resolved for all new Macans 2021 and beyond? Have noticed its something doomed to fail and is a very expensive part to replace out of warranty. Was wondering if they have started putting improved versions of it in new Macans. Also wanted to know about general reliability.
has anyone noticed that the 2021 configurator for the Macan S does not have carbon ceramic brakes as an option on their website?

Don't know about the transfer case, but Consumer reports has Macan reliability as very good... I suspect CC brakes went away because no one ordered them... Just not needed on a small SUV... ( I have a GTS model)

What size tires do you have? Im thinking about configuring 18 inch tires with the air suspension for the smoothest most comfortable ride quality.Originally Posted by ckkrause

heh i was gonna say the pccbs wouldve been a nice touch to reduce unsprung mass despite needing bigger 20inch rims. Perhaps its for the best

Going on 2.5 years now with a loaded Turbo. One of the most reliable cars I have ever owned (from a long line of Acura’s, Honda’s and BMWs). One of the only cars I’ve ever owned that has no rattles/squeaks.

That's one reason I recently got rid of my '14 BMW X3. It was starting to have more and more issues, and costly ones, and not even 90k miles yet. The Porsche CPO warranty is one of the best in the business, as well. Have been immensely happy with the 2019 Macan base so far and look forward to many carefree miles.Originally Posted by Chris-911

I heard that the transfer case was re-designed (and fixed) for all 2019+ models, when Porsche did many big changes to Macans. I would not buy a pre-2019 Macan.
Curious on the data source of the comment made by "cometguy" that the transfer case was re-designed . Is their some documentation on that ?

Don't the smaller tires ride a little smoother due to their having more sidewall? I have 19" and the ride is pretty good w/o air suspension, especially compared to run-flat tires.

I have 20's on my Macan and I find them very smooth - I actually think better than my 19's on my former Mercedes.Originally Posted by tk-porsche
