Default Air Suspension - Wheel Removal Precautions?

I had a high end tire and wheel shop remove the driver's side front wheel to check for a slow tire leak. They found the leak, but my Macan S is now at the highest height level possible and won't go down, even when driving.. Dash screen says "PASM Fault, Park, Safety" They used a jack at the proper jack point behind the front wheel and just in front of the front door. Anyone know if there are special precautions to jack an air suspension Macan? Thank you.

You're supposed to put the vehicle into normal height and turn off the leveling system before jacking up the car. I don't know why your car is throwing a fault but it might be solved by turning off the leveling system and turning it back on. It's on page 221 of my manual under "switching the leveling system on and off".

Turn the key ON. Make sure you've raised it the 10mm. After that, hold the button down for almost a minute. Pay attention to the dash. It will tell you when it's disabled. Then go do your thing. Once done, go for a short drive. The system automatically will turn back on.

As others have properly stated, the AS system needed to be disabled prior to it being jacked up....(next time I'm sure you'll remember this)

As for the current fault/warning message, I'm fairly certain there's no permanent damage and the AS system just needs to be reset. Look in the owner's manual and try disabling it and then re-enabling the system. If that fails the dealer can probably reset it quite easily it using PIWIS.

You press and hold down the button at the red arrow until the dash says it’s disabled. But how do you re-enable the leveling system after turning it off?

Just go for a drive. It turns on automatically.

Manual says:

Switching leveling system off

Vehicle is stationary.
  1. Switch on ignition.
  2. Press and hold the button for approx. 10 seconds.
A notice appears on the multifunction display. The vehicle can now be raised.

Does switch ignition “ON” mean start the vehicle or just turn key to ON position without starting? I’ve tried this numerous times and can’t seem to turn levelling system off. Posts above show parking brake on, vehicle need to be in raised 10mm, hold for 1 minute. Are these required?

BiA:

No Owner's Manual?

The current height of the Macan is irrelevant when disabling the leveling system. Ho do I know? Experience. It will disable/enable regardless of the current height setting.
It may take longer than 10 seconds. IIRC, the last time I performed the operation (a few days ago to put the winter tires on) it took quite a bit longer than 10 seconds.

SO, hold that button til the message appears in the instrument cluster indicating the leveling system has been deactivated.

Good luck!
