Default Squeaky brake pedal

Anyone else have a slightly squeaky brake pedal? I imagine something just needs to be lubed up a little but it's nearly impossible to get under there and see where it's coming from. There is a plastic piece where the pushrod attaches to the pedal, maybe that's where it's coming from? Or could it be the hinge? Any suggestions?

Could be any of them. Silicone spray with a nozzle is your friend.

Hey, I'm having the same issue. Did you find a resolution? Thanks!

I think the problem went away on it's own.

I have the same issue. Won't be getting it looked at until probably late spring. The shop mentioned something about the pedal and the hinge.

My squeaky brake pedal was resolved when I switched brake fluid from ATE 200 to Pentosin Low Viscosity. Indy shop did my brake fluid flush with ATE 200 and apparently that caused the squeak. All quiet now after switching to the low viscosity fluid.

Interesting. I'll keep that in mind. They did flush the fluid and replace and then this started.

Let me start by staying I am not trying to be a smart ***... but I am curious how a different brake fluid would eliminate brake pedal squeak? The fluid only get as far as the reservoir under the hood and through the brake lines to each caliper. The pedal is inside the car - are you sure they didn't also squirt some WD 40 on the pedal bushing?

Just curious?

My understanding is that the squeak isn’t the brake pedal but a piston in the MC. People with that issue replaced the MC and the squeak was gone. Perhaps changing brake fluid might actually affect the binding of the piston.
