$1700 Stainless Exhaust, installed 1/1/2019 (must see)
Looks like **** to me (more importantly the wife) since its not my Porsche.
Carbon Fiber Tips, sounds great, too bad that the bolts they used to hold the shrouds on couldn't last two months and they were so rusted they wouldn't back out so not much can be done.
MFG said "tough not our fault if the salt on the winter roads rusted that..."

No no no. I would have to think they would use SS rivets and not cheap materials to allow that to happen. The Manufacturer is stating that the aluminum(?) rivets are susceptable to corrosion from road salt? If that were the case, every piece of aluminum used on most cars and trucks today would be rotting away at an incredible rate.
Take a look, or maybe call other other exhaust manufacturers and ask what they use and if this the norm. Who was the manufacturer?

Those aren't aluminum to turn that color, they're regular steel. Aluminum turns a powdery grey when it corrodes. I'm sure a magnet will stick to those, which means they're ferrous.
Drill the heads off the screws so you can remove the CF shrouds and access the threads where they're attached. Then spray the threads with a penetrating oil like PB Blaster or Liquid wrench and let it soak in overnight, then grab what's remaining of the screw with vice grips and unscrew them. Chase the threads with the proper size tap to clean them up and replace them with actual stainless steel screws from Fastenal or your local hardware store.
If they still won't come out after the PB Blaster treatment, drill them out the rest of the way, enlarge the hole in the shrouds and the tips one size and retap to the next size up. What a PITA for something that the seller should be taking back, but I'm sure they weren't cheap so might be worth the effort to make them usable.
Who is the exhaust company that's giving you this excellent customer service?

C'mon, OP...fess up. Only one manufacturer that I know of that sells a $1,700 system with CF tips for our cars....Starts with a Fab and ends with a Speed. Big RENNLIST sponsor/advertiser. If they are, in fact, the supplier, one would think they'd bend over backwards to make this right by sending the OP a new set with rustproof hardware. Word spreads quickly on the "net" about stuff like this. What do they expect owners to do? Stay off the road when it snows?

Wasn't going to tell because wife said they were going to call her Monday and see what they could do... Since its Thursday... Here is this...
I really doubt these are theirs.
I could offset the cost of getting some decent one's made by SOUL.

Well, never heard back from FS...
But, the guys over at SOUL Stepped up and found tips that fit. So if you don't like the crappy tips that come with your (otherwise amazing) FS Macan slip on exhaust, you have the option of getting some tips from JG at SOUL.
When I have the money, I am getting those....
The question is, H&R Springs or SOUL tips, which comes first?
I did end up painting the bolts on both sets of tips with black rustolium to get me through till I buy from SOUL.
Maybe FS should just get tips from them. Or offer the system without tips for less money.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give an update on the situation.
BlacksheepSpyder, we really want to apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced and for the drop in communication – our last conversation ended with you saying you’d pick up replacement hardware from Granger since it was a fast and inexpensive solution.
We consistently have customers choose to fix an themselves if there is a quick and easy solution available, simply to avoid the time issues that shipping/fabricating products can cause. We thought that was what you had done in this case and we sincerely apologize if you thought we were not there to support you – we are here to support our customers every step of the way.
We had a miscommunication with one of our suppliers on with a small batch of hardware that led to some rusting of the hardware – which we are absolutely prepared to replace for anyone experiencing this issue. We have already fixed this issue and we are now testing each batch of hardware that we receive individually to explicitly verify they are made of the proper grade of stainless steel.
If we had known you were unhappy with the result of our conversation we would have done everything we could to find a solution you were happy with, which would have started with sending you out replacement hardware immediately.
We take our customer service very seriously and will be addressing this miscommunication internally to see how we can avoid this in the future.
We will also be addressing the issue of the rust accumulating on the Fabspeed engraving. We use a passivation process to prevent free iron from accumulating on our stainless process, and suspect there was an issue somewhere along the way that allowed some free iron to collect. We have already started a full review of our passivation process to find the best way to ensure that no Fabspeed customer has this issue in the future.
We are human here at Fabspeed, and humans make mistakes. Which is why we don’t just sell you a product, we build relationships with our customers and are here to support you along the way. When we are putting thousands of exhaust systems on the road each year, we can’t guarantee there will never be a mistake with our products – but what we can guarantee is that we will do whatever we can to work out a solution with our customers. If you have frustrations, you don’t have to search for a platform to voice your frustrations; voice your frustration to us and we will do everything we can to fix it.
We really do want the car community, especially anyone with an issue, to view us as an open door.
If anyone has any other questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for finally reaching out.
What Fabspeed told me was...
Fabspeed should have known I was unhappy because on Friday Feb 11 my wife got on chat @ your website to express her unhappiness with the plan to try and fix these myself and to express her concerns about the engraving and the fact that in time, these bolts will fail from rusting through.
The guy on that chat said that John Palo - Customer Servicewould call her Monday 2/11.
She never got a call back.
This was why I refused to post a vendor until Thursday Feb 14 when I figured Fabspeed was not going to respond.
If you had sent me replacement hardware immediately as you stated above, would that not have had the same issues as the 8 tips I have now?
Now on March 13 you are very interested in addressing these problems.
This afternoon, I received 3 calls while I was at work and spoke with Phil, who said that when he gets some tips that are up to standard we could swap them out.
Tonight about 6, I got a call from your president.
I called you back and left you a voice mail tonight.
Hopefully, you can swap these for some tips with quality bolts once you have addressed the issue of rust accumulating on the engraving.
I actually have two sets of the Macan S slip on exhaust and would appreciate you replacing the tips on both cars once you work these issues out.
What Fabspeed told me was...
Yes, I did receive the picture, thank you so much for providing them. After verifying with my operations manager we usually see this when there is road debris such as salt and any other contaminant that will cause this. Since we use stainless steel this should be very easy to clean up using some very light steel wool, scotch brite, maybe even a magic eraser. We are very sorry this has cause a cosmetic issue, we can't control what comes from the road. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thank You,

Just grovel and replace the tips @Fabspeed Motorsport .
A public refund would not be unwise, you've hurt yourself here, try and salvage this in the eyes of those who haven't gone aftermarket yet.
But what do I know ....
