Carmine Red Macan GTS
Came across a nice CPO GTS today in Carmine Red. Very nice car. Not in the market yet as I was only in for service on my wife's Q7. But the car just stopped me for some reason. I've been toying with trading in my 2015 A8 daily driver (which is black) for a couple of years. My last red car was when I was in my 20's. I'm now approaching 51. Does Carmine Red put out too much of a "look at me" vibe in daily driving? Not sure I can pull it off. I don't want to appear that I'm going through a crisis. Anyone else grapple with this?

Macan GTS looks great for sure, but it will be quite a different car compared to your A8

When I bought my F430 I really didn't want a red one because I was a little self-conscious about it - so I went black/black. A friend of mine said "F That!" and bought a red one. EVERY time I saw it I wish I had done the same. Lesson learned. My giant-winged GT3 is red.

Don't think about it. Do it! I'm turning 70 in a few days. I've been working my whole life and now retired. I think I've earned the right to drive whatever my budget will allow. Today, it's a 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo in CARMINE RED! <keyboard drop>

Nah. I've owned, I believe, four other red vehicles and was never singled out because it was red. I think it's more the type or brand of a vehicle that draws attention.

Do what makes YOU happy. Especially at 50, try to stop caring what others think about you. High school was 3 and a half decades ago.

Carmine is an absolutely amazing colour. It does stand out from the crowd of black, white and silver cars but we've had no issues with LEO, knock on wood. When we ordered our GTS I was very worried that it would be too loud but it's not really that provocative. Carmine is just special and we love it.
