I am considering a 2015 turbo and I am wondering what was changed to the 2017 models in regards to their steering. Was it all programming, and if so can older models be updated? Any input is greatly appreciated.

There were some updates to the steering software for the 2017 Macan models to enhance steering performance/feel, but I'm not certain if that update can be applied to prior 2015/16 models. I don't think there were any hardware changes, but not 100% certain on that. These would be good questions for Porsche service.
