In my 997 Turbo I was stopped for no front plate - DPS officer also noted that my clear side markers were illegal even with amber bulbs. He said the side markers had to be amber reflectors. Received a "no fix it: warning" on both plate and side markers although law has changed in Texas now that a no front plate ticket could cost you up to $200 + plus a fix.

Suncoast Parts Is now shipping the Tinted Side Markers
Yesterday I placed an order at Suncoast Parts (online) for the “Tinted” Side Markers for my ‘16 Macan S and noticed that the part number was the same as the clear ones. So I sent a message to Ric Knab to make sure that I get the “Tinted” ones.
In in his reply he assured me that they are in fact the “Tinted” version.
A few moments ago, I received a notification from UPS about a shipment from Suncoast parts.
Just to let everyone interested that Suncoast is now shipping the “Tinted” Side Markers for Macans. .

Hoping someone will post pics when they get them installed. The LED strip inside looks interesting.

Looking good
What method did you use to pop the old ones out? The screwdriver method as mentioned in the manual or did you remove the 3 screws that hold the wheel well liner?
Your car looks very well coordinated! Nice!

Side Markers install - less irksome method.
I ordered tinted ones from Suncoast parts. My Macan S is Agate Grey Metallic.
They’ll arrive next week. I will just take the wheel well liner route to avoid frustration.
Thanks.
