Attention: Ordering a 2019 Macan?

2019 Macans not available until at least June here, waiting for approvals. Unless of course something changes.

From what I can tell they started building new Macans in late November for North America. They have built a couple thousand already. I have no idea where they are but the November and December cars should be arriving now.

8A4 Park Assist (Front and Rear) with Surround View $1200
The new Macan come standard with the Front and Rear Park Assist with reverse camera. This option adds four additional fisheye cameras which make magic appear.

It's a really cool option. The image comes up automatically as I park even when I pull forward into a spot. The only thing I wish was different is that the image always goes to the rear camera only when I reverse and I then have to select surround image manually. I think this is due to US regulations. The menu for the different camera angles comes up and I wave my hand at the top right corner of the screen. I also have my diamond button programmed to activate the cameras at low speed.

Only the ICE-only 2019 Cayennes and 2019 Panameras have been approved by CARB so far (i.e., no 2019 Macans, and no 2019 E-Hybrids), with no new postings since January:
https://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad.../2019/2019.php
Also, it appears that no 2019 Macans and no 2019 E-Hybrids have been certified by EPA yet, either, while almost all other 2019 Porsche models have been:
https://www.epa.gov/compliance-and-f...-and-equipment
[see pdf file titled "Certified Vehicle Models (Model Years: 2014 – Present) (XLSX)(693 K, February 2019)"]
[url=https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2019-02/light-duty-vehicle-models-2014-present.xlsx]
CARB certification cannot happen until EPA certification happens first. So this doesn't look great for deliveries of base 2019 Macans in two months, given the snail's pace that EPA and CARB certifications can take. The federal-government shutdown surely didn't help this.

A dealership here told me that they have 2019 Macans already sitting in port in Rhode Island, awaiting both EPA and CARB certification; the estimate they heard is April arrival at dealership, as of a month ago, but of course this is only an estimate. Let's hope that EPA is getting caught up on the backlog from the many weeks of government shutdown.

I think I'll wait for a 2020 Macan S.

Thanks to all for more of the inputs. Made some tweaks. We have until Feb to make last-minute changes, but think we are pretty close.
Got confirmation of Euro delivery first week of July. Also learned English Euro delivery is every day now at Zuffenhausen even though the website only lists Mon, Wed, Fri as English delivery dates.
Here's the latest build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PK4VIKR1
Added Cargo Management, seat ventilation, and Smoker's Package
Deleted the alcantara headliner and heated windshield
Went with the full leather and Sport Design Exterior Mirrors
Decided on the 19" Macan Sport Wheels. Just couldn't justify the additional cost of the 20/21 inch wheels and winter tires in the south.

Euro delivery and shipping adds $0 to the price as you pay the regular shipping charge just like if you didn't do Euro delivery. The dealer pays for Euro delivery unlike in past years where the customer paid for it. The incentive for the dealer is they get an additional allocation for a vehicle which typically means more profit than what Euro delivery costs them.
We are on hold awaiting the "S" engine approval but I'm not too hopeful. I can only due Euro delivery in July so if the certification of the new "S" engine slips much more, we'll have to slide to next summer.
