Attention: Ordering a 2019 Macan?
#16
Thanks for the update. Just to be clear, we're talking about the base Macan, not the "S" since there seems to be zero info on it.
Very strange given how popular this model is for Porsche that there is such a lag time for a mid-cycle refresh. I guess the new Cayenne set the precedent here in the US. The first cars finally arrived the last few weeks long after the initial introduction. At least for that car it's a completely new platform.

But it'll be the mrs' car, and she wants Volcano.

US Configurator is online for the 2019 Macan refresh. Only the Base model is available to build.

Thanks for the heads up. At least we can eyeball some of the option prices in US$ now.
Still waiting for any info on the S engine and availability...

Jukebox is missing from this and also from the 2019 Cayenne Configurator; have they discontinued Jukebox? (It appears they've discontinued CD players for 2019, so it would be strange to delete Jukebox also.)
Also, ParkAssist is missing from the 2019 Macan list of standard features (but it's still present in the 2019 Cayenne list) -- so surely this is a mistake? Since the rear-view camera is also missing from the list of standard features, I assume that it's simply a mistake that both are left out (since they both are usually listed on the same line).
I also find it interesting that the collapsible spare tire is still listed as a standard feature in the 2019 Macan; I hope that's not a mistake.
One would think that Porsche USA would take this all a little more seriously -- getting this all correct before putting it online.

Yes, us too. We have a build slot for an S in March from our dealer for a requested July Factory delivery that is yet unconfirmed because the specs haven't been issued for the S. I've started making hotel and B&B reservations for our two-week trip. Really want to get the delivery date confirmed to buy plane tickets.

The website and the tech specs from the configurator for the 2019 Base say 248, down from 252 from the 2018 base. I've seen 300hp tossed around the internet, but it doesn't seem so. I received my November issue of Panorama from PCA and on pg 22, middle column, last paragraph, it says the base in mid-2019 will be 300 hp. The S will go from 340 to 350 and the Turbo will be 430. Not really sure what is happening with the base and why the website, configurator, and why some articles and Panorama would say 300.

What is their strategy? 2019s get a 248 hp engine and then next year or half year later, poof, here's a 300 hp engine for the base? That would make some early buyers of the Base pretty angry I'd think.

Given the other inaccuracies that I have found in the specs list for the base 2019 Macan at the Porsche Configurator, I would not be at all surprised if the listed 248 hp is incorrect also.
Porsche really should get its act together with this information... It's inexcusable to not be perfect in their listing of standard specs, features, dimensions, etc., when they expect customers to use this information in making decisions regarding giving them oodles of money...

And the option prices listed for '19 are the same as for a '18. So, there are more errors in that configurator.
