Wow...the car is in already. Under 7 weeks. The fastest Porsche throughput ever for me.

What do you think about the gas cap? We thought about it but cheaped out and wondering if we made a mistake.

What about the gas cap? Are you referring to the optional aluminum/sport cap versus the standard one? If so, I'd say go for it. It looks great (although you rarely actually see it) and is a nice touch. I got it and no regrets....$160 well spent IMO.

You can always buy it from Porsche parts and install it after the fact if you didn't get it on your build...easy.

The gas cap is the dumbest, and best option on the car. I would have never spent the money on a gas cap. Then my last Boxster had one. I will now never not option it again. It looks so much better.

I went with ptv over sport chrono. I actually quite like it. But I have actually tracked the macan and run it in autoX for laughs. It is noticeable when you're acting like an idiot in snowy lots.

The Macan is wife's car. Sounds like the aluminum cap would make a good Xmas gift.

I have an extra cap that I move from car to car. This will be it's 3rd car

I did add the entry and drive as well. I meant to but forgot...until I was reminded in this thread.

It's plastic painted to look like aluminum - pretty pricey.

Don't forget the color-coordinated starter-switch "key."
Enjoy your new GTS; we love ours!

The $5 key covers from ebay fit really nicely. It takes all of 10 seconds and a fingernail to change it yourself. The red is a decent match for Carmine.
