On our 2017 Macan GTS, when you shut off the Auto Start/Stop function, it STAYS OFF. We don't have to shut it off each time we start the car. It remembers your preferred option, ON or OFF.
You can control how the doors lock/unlock via the PCM. I have my key fob set to unlock ALL doors upon unlocking, while my wife's fob unlocks ONLY the driver's door when unlocking. We have both keys set to "lock doors on take off." But I believe you can have the doors NOT lock automatically, if you wish. Just don't select any of the locking options.

Love the purple color, "evil panda"! What year model is that, and what options did you add in?

Leader and wwahl: I test-drove a 2018 Macan S today, and it does have the option in the instrument-panel digital settings screen to have the doors remain unlocked when the car starts to move (I tried it, and it works). I also tried setting a few things like disabling the auto-start/stop function with the memory key, and that worked, as well. I was very impressed with the Macan S that I drove. As I'm 5'8" tall, with my driver seat set, there was tremendous leg room for me in the seat directly behind the driver seat. And I thought there was a lot of luggage space in the cargo area, even with the back seats up.

Default 2017 GTS

Pretty much loaded GTS, identical colour to my previous one, but the GTS seems to be twice the car to my Macan S in terms of fun. For the capabilities and quality, I think it was a relative bargain - considering how expensive things are from any brand on their top end models.
