I've had Cayenne Turbo and now Macan GTS... The Macan is so much more fun to drive. The PDK is great, the sound is great, I prefer the look of the Macan as well. The Cayenne in hard cornering was an understeering barge, the Macan in Sport Plus and PSM Sport can be trail braked into completely neutral to slight oversteer and come out of the corner with the tail hanging out... Never been able to do that in another SUV.. I think the Cayenne was probably a little faster at high speed, but the Macan is deceptively quick around town in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears... the snarls on the upshifts from the PDK always bring a smile to my face... as you can tell i cant praise it enough

Get the car that makes you smile.
X2 go rent the appliance when you need it.
Van/tahoe/suburban 3oo bucks for the 4 day trip.

We have both a macan turbo and a cayenne turbo in our fleet and they are vastly different vehicles, and from the sounds of it the cayenne will be the better fit for you.

The macan is my daily and the cayenne is my girls, but we love trading and each prefer our own at the end of the day. Though neither one of us has a passenger in it 95% of the time.
