Default GTS Configuration - Sear Cooling w/ Alcantara?

Is it possible to configure GTS with front seat cooling and Alcantara? I can't figure it out.....

Nope.

Seat ventilation is only available if the seat centers are leather.

IMO after owning both do the leather with ventilation. The alcantara is hard to slide in and out of and the ventilation is cool.

I agree -^

I am definitely a fan of seat ventilation.

First car I've owned with seat ventilation, and it rocks. So much more comfy on hot days.

And here I thought we'd be able to circulate a bunch of puns.

Sorry, multi-tasking. My humor blows anyway.

I loved tracking my 991 at NJMP in August with the ventilated seats on. It was a joy.

I see what you did there.

But seriously, seat cooling is one of those options that you don't think much of until you have a car with it. Then it's awesome. Especially down here in Houston. I hit that button all the time.

If I lived in a hot weather area, I’d perhaps do the ventilation. However, nothing is worse than getting into a car when it’s freezing out and jumping onto frozen leather seats. The alcantara is much warmer hopping into the car on a cold day, and cooler jumping in on a hot summer day. My wife’s Cayenne has ventilated seats, and I almost never use them when in her car.

It's a very polarizing subject so it's each to their own. I prefer Alcantara to the point that it's a deal breaker, for me. I've had vented leather but leather is too slippery, for me. Alcantara is ok in summer, the material breathes well and no leg burns when getting in.

I was going to order a Macan GTS and wanted it to have the leather seats with ventilation. My dealer called me up with a great deal on a slightly used GTS which had Alcantara.. I ended up taking the slightly used Macan.. though I live in Canada where half the time I have my seater heaters on and having ventilated seats isnt a huge deal breaker.

I always thought ventilated seats was a silly, money wasting option that old men ordered on Cadillacs. Then a few hears ago I had a DE student with a then brand new 2013 991 take me out for a session on a hot, muggy August at Road America. Right then and there I added it to my 2014 991S order sheet! And I have it in my Macan GTS, too.
