Default Bought a Macan GTS for the wife and she doesn't know it yet.

It's safe to say that she's going to be very surprised when I take her out for Valentines Day, valet the Ford Explorer, have a nice filet dinner at a high class steak house, and when we walk out of the restaurant her new Macan GTS is sitting curbside...

Yup. Hopefully Mrs. M. doesn't have an emotional attachment to The Explorer.

Randy M, post back and let us know how it goes. Explorer upgraded to a Macan GTS is going to be a shock.

Well it is an Explorer Sport w/ a 365 hp ecoboost but yeah. We test drove a Macan Turbo (bloated option car at $103K) over the holidays and she loved it.

Nice looking GTS! They look great in white with the black trim, blades and wheels...

Welcome back, Randy! You had a 993 before, right?

Thank you Mark, Yes I had a '98 C4S when I first joined here in the early 2000's. That and the 997.2 GT3 I had for a short while in '13 are two cars I should have never have sold. That 993 board was quite the soap opera back then from what I remember...

I've been away for a while playing with Mustangs. Have a GT350 now but may get into a 991.2 of some sort. Once they get into your blood you know...

Cool, thought that was you! Honestly, if you had used the Bat Boy avatar, I would have instantly remembered. Man, you took a bunch of crap back then; can't recall what it was over and can barely remember the antagonists/protagonists.

Sweet present. Let us know how she likes it. I love my GTS.

It was the infancy of HWFM. Many of the guys who were involved with that excluded others and yet wanted all to conform at the same time. That's what bat boy was about because they didn't like looking at it whenever I'd post. Ridiculous when you look back at it. Most of them are in rest homes sitting in a chair holding drool cups by now...

Yes, Mustang, and Porsche they are addictive, my weak spot too. Before I do a 991, have to see the new GT500.
In the mean time my 993, and Macan Turbo, is a winning combo, but still miss my '13 Boss LS, and '16 GT350.
I agree with the red bow option!

Don't recall it being a HWFM thing, but, now that you mention it, there was a common, core group.

I had a B302 and an LS after that as well. Yeah the GT350 with 526 hp imo is more than enough power for my use. I may wait to see what the GT500 is all about but if I'm to be truthful to myself, a Carrera T would be all that I'd need, with the quality and refinement that I'm sad to say is lacking in the Mustangs. Even though I do really love them.

It was a long time ago. John D still owned the site. I haven't noticed any of the elitists that caused me problems back then posting on RL anymore.

Thanks, I like 'em too but may not have ordered them. I'm taking a bit of a chance on the Agate Grey interior. The Turbo we drove over the holidays had the Espresso interior that she loved. She hasn't seen the Agate and when my SA showed me the car I thought she'd really like the color. Agate Grey really isn't gray at all. My eyes see it as more of a mocha or taupe color so I think she'll like it just as much.
