The velar. It's super easy on the eyes. No idea how it drives. I love my Macan GTS but we have no intent of having children so the back seats are very rarely used.

But it looks a whole lot like a Ford Explorer... which looks like a Range Rover. Not that I think they're not pretty but I see maybe 50 of those per day. No confusing a Macan with anything other than a Porsche.

We just got back from a 4.5 hour trip to a wedding in upstate NY. I let my son drive and I was in the back seat. Was I the most comfortable? No, after a couple of hours I noticed my legs were cramping. I'm 6.0. But I adjusted, at one point stretching my legs to the other side, but I made it so it works. When we drove to the wedding we have 5 adults in the car for the 15 minute drive. It did the job. Is rear seat room the Macan's best attribute? No, but it is there if you need it.

We bought a 2017 base Macan in May. Then last month picked up a 2017 Porsche Exec-driven Cayenne S with 9600 miles and CPO that started in April. The Macan is my primary ride and the Cayenne the wife’s. The Macan is ideal for running around town and carries a hitch mounted bike rack most of the year. The Cayenne will be our highway vehicle and will easily carry bikes inside if we like. Best of both worlds.

I like your take on it.

I have had a few clients tell me that the Velar drive quality is not up to par with the Macan...

When we went up the dealer before we bought our Macan, we ended up running into some friends also at the dealer who decided to join on the test drive. So it was me, wife, 2 friends and our sales rep in the Macan. For one leg of the drive when wifey was driving, I was in the back with our friends. It wasn't super cramped. I'm 6' 165 lbs, friends were 5'10 150 and 5'11 190. It wasn't great, but it wasn't unbearable.
