AC Grill Gards

AC Grill Gards
Hi All:
I have a 2017 Macan GTS and a 2017 Turbo.
Had the AC grill guards (Rennling) installed on the Turbo.
Has anyone had a concern about AC damage on the Macan, and installed grill guards?

sorry...not sure what p/n's mean.
The Macan is GTS 2017, and the Turbo is a 991.2 TT without auto cruise control.
My question is, has anyone considered grill protection for the 2017 Macan. Not beining all that mechanical, thought I'd ask this board.

p/n = part number
...when one refers to a Turbo in this (Macan) forum, readers assume the poster means Macan (95B) Turbo - not 99X Turbo - hence some level of confusion.
Is this discussion focusing on those radiator-like structures between the front wheel wells and the front spoiler? What is the white stuff anyway...?
It kind of looks like a cover or filter or something...

I have Zunsport grills on the not-a-Macan Turbo and the not-a-Macan mid-engine other Porsche.
Zunsport doesn't have 95B grills last time I checked. As of right now, neither does Rennline. So, unless we roll our own out of bulk stock we're screwed AFAIK.
Unless someone else has a lead on grill kits from another manufacturer.

Hi.
As you will know by now, we at Zunsport, are always extending the range of our grilles for models and variants. The 2017 GTS is of interest to us and your interest reinforces that. If someone with a Macan in the UK can work with us we can have a grille set for this model ready in short time. If you can help let us know - you will be rewarded (see our Development Cars section on https://www.zunsport.com/development-vehicles

Three Wheelin'
I would be interested in the grills for my 18 Macan S. I have the Zunsports on my 911 and they fit well and have kept the radiators free of all sorts of stuff!

It's not beyond the realm of possibility...All that's required is a stone thrown up from a truck's tires and your a/c or windshield can incur serious damage. I've experienced both in other cars both on and off track.

Zunsport Grilles for Macan S
This owner of a 2018 Macan S would buy a set of Zunsports grilles to protect the radiators. I have Zunsport grilles for our 997.2, and they are spot on..

Not to throw cold water on your project but, based on experience, I have serious doubt that Aluminum mesh would slow down a stone or gravel thrown from a vehicle at highway speeds. I believe the Zunsport grilles are fabricated from stainless steel mesh.

Zunsports Grilles Are Stainless Steel
On its web site, Zunsport (based in England) states it is the specialist in protective stainless steel grilles. I have installed five Zunsport sets on various Porsche models, including my own 997.2 (installed over two years ago), and can attest to Zunsport's products as being well constructed, easy to install, and their serviceability in protecting the front radiators. Hopefully, Zunsport (initially a cottage industry) will be able to get a British owner's Macan for start-up manufacture fabrication purposes as to the Macan in the near future; at least the problem of road debris damage would be solved for purchasers/Macan owners as to the side radiators. The only saving grace of the Macan's side radiators are that they are at a higher plane than that of the 996, 997, and 991 side radiators, but we all know that thrown road debris can seriously damage a windshield, which is at even a higher plane.

Perhaps but the material I have is pretty heavy duty. I also have Zunsport on my 997 and while not as heavy I think this stuff would protect my rads. I can send you a sample if you are interested.
