Great excuse to watch this video again. And the article is right -- the best mod you can make to your car is training its driver. Here's some proof of what that can do.
But modding your suspension can help a ton as well. When I put a PSS9 kit on my Boxster I started catching everything. It's funny, everyone would come up to me and ask what I did to the motor (nothing). I just changed the suspension to do what I told it to do a bit better.

Just read this and saw a mention about me at the bottom regarding the Mclaren event at COTA. I was in my GTS doing lead/follow. Everyone behind me couldn't keep up in 570's.

Decades ago I would have relished the opportunity to blow through 160 on the autobahn. A couple of years ago I was fine in my 911 at 135 on the autobahn but wasn't interested in going faster. I guess the risk/reward center of my brain has fully developed now.

If 167 is too fast sober, then definitely don't do it after a drink.

Yea, 120 was the magic number for me. I really never went past that. The Macan doesn't fall into any category of vehicle I've owned. I'm still trying to figure it out what it is. Seems like other drivers out on the road are too.
It's crazy how people keep pulling over for me on the freeway. The front end of that car is really recognizable. I got waived thru in the fast lane by a biker last night. We were already going 85. I floored it and as I passed him I looked and was going 110. Very quick. And that's the base.

What tires were you using, and what did they look like at the end of that session?
