Default New to Be Cup Owner Driver

I have to thank Dan at Speed Gallery. Looks like we are getting together on his 14 Cup.

I am so excited. I have done Some Karts, HPDE, AX and some straight line speed stuff. But, I am a racer at heart, Masters ski racing, track in HS, etc. I just love speed and discipline and pushing myself.

I am a point in life where I can take some of the rewards. I came across the 14 Cup from Dan at Speed Gallery. Being that Dan is local and can support the car along with training, is the perfect opportunity.

I have been following Cup cars for 7 years and finally am looking to seal the deal on Monday.

Thanks all for you insights and inspirations. I hope I can contribute and call on others in this new endeavor.

I am in SoCal and hoping to get private track time weekly or bi weekly, so any other drivers or teams, please let me know and we can share some track time during testing/training.

I am so stoked.

Thanks Dan, Thanks Sam at ByDesign. I will post pics as soon as we seal the deal.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I just bought my cup car a few weeks ago myself.

Safety first, one of the reasons for the Cup. Patience is key, I think a lot for me will be understanding the balance into the turns.

I was supposed to break her in at WGI this past Wednesday and Thursday but my wife had emergency gall bladder removal so I decided to be a good husband and stay with her. End of the month at NJMP is the plan now

Jeff, that is great. Good move on the wife thing too. Seems to not matter what I do sometimes

Are you going to race or just DE?

Thanks I'm constantly doing stupid stuff so once in a while I get it right. DE for now, I also have a Spec Boxster so when I finally step up to racing it will first be in the SPB.

Coaching and getting competent are paramount. I will spent this year just learning and earning my license.

I am sure I will be in the same boat, but this is how we learn.
