The 996 GT3 & cup suspension is identical except for shocks & spring rates. The 996 RS & RSR uprights are quite different in the front and rear. The 996 RS & RSR can use the same shock as the GT3 street car.

You can see pictures if you search on rbahr

No it wont fit. I don't know what happened. Until recently I got them for $350 from Porsche Dealer. Had numerous issues on the 6 Cups and customers race cars and dealer was cheaper than Motorsports. Now they are $17xx at Dealer and there are none in the world.

Yes, it's not even a question of price.... There are none.

Thanks again

Yes GT3 and Cup are exactly the same unit..... I wound up not needing one but is Motorsport out of them? Dealer worldwide was as of 2 weeks ago.

What I have seen in the past is with a huge price increase like we have now with the units, is generally when Porsche is running out of stock and go back to the manufacturer for more units but with less quantity then the last time. This then causes the crazy 500-600% increase in price. Same thing happened to the 996 6 piston calipers. Motorsports had them for $400. They ran out and next batch were what we see now like $17xx per caliper. So good news is they are mostly likely sourcing the new product. Bad news is that it could take months till new stock comes in..

Yes I doubt they will let us down but owning a 964Turbo I am aware off the pricing strategy for spares on older models.

I'll look for a used one, right side....

I have an extra pair of .6 GT3 uprights with bearings (22k kms) and hubs. Located in Europe. Offers? Also an set of 6 piston calipers (997 turbo, 142mm bolt spacing) could be available.

From what I can see from PET and Cup catalogues Cup and GT2/3 front uprights are the same but TT and base model 996s are different.... Are you certain you can bolt on a 6 piston caliper and that suspension geometry is identical between Cup and non-GTx 996s?
