WTB 20 ft enclosed trailer for 2005 996 Cup Car
This is my first post...Hopefully you guys can give me some much needed direction...
I'm PCA Club racer that has been racing a Prepared H RS America out of the Carolinas Region for the past 9 years. I recently bought a 2005 996 Cup Car and will start racing that in GTC 3 after I get some seat time.
Here is my dilemma and the reason for my post. This past weekend I decided to load my 996CC on my open trailer.... And it won't make it up the ramps due to the height of the trailer floor and the ground clearance of the front lip of the car. In addition, the car doesn't have any windows which add to my problem. So I'm in the market for an enclosed trailer that has a low floor and some pretty long ramps...
The challenge is I'm pulling with a 2012 Land Rover LR4. Not the ideal tow vehicle but it worked well for my open trailer. It's rated to pull 7700 lbs but it has a pretty short wheel base. So, I figure a light weight, 20 foot enclosed, with a low floor, long ramped trailer is what I need. Things like tire storage, cabinets, and a winch would be great additions...
Does anybody have anything like I described above that they are looking to sell? Thanks in advance.

Appreciated.... If anybody knows of an aluminum 20 foot enclosed they are looking to sell, please let me know. I'd rather not get new if I don't have to. The trailer was not part of the plan until I realized I could not get car on to my open trailer. Thanks.

You can of course still use your open.
Just raise the nose as much as possible using the existing jack it even a floor jack, alternatively drive your suv rear tires up onto a board pyramid to raise the rear of suv.
Then figure out your ramp needs accordingly.
We do it all the time with lots of trailers so it can be done.
With regard to cup door. Remove the retaining bolts on the door hinge pivot and just lift the door off , drive your cup up leaving max available space on the drivers side and then wiggle the door back into its spots, close and head out. Reverse procedure for unloading and track time. Sure there's a bit of hassle but certainly worth 15-20 grand...

If you can't get an enclosed, I am 100% sure that Fred Gwynn of http://www.reverselogic.us/
can make you the ramps you need. You will need to take some measurements from your existing trailer and your cup and he will plug in that information to software he has to make sure the angle is correct. If you search for him, you will see that he is highly recommended.
Also, Dan Jacobs has an enclosed Featherlite Trailer for sale.

Rob,
I tow my 997 Cup in a 20' Bravo Aluminum trailer behind my Cayenne no problem. With custom ramps you can load it without removing the splitter.
Full disclosure I own Bravo Trailers and I'm happy to share my experience with you.

I have an enclosed featherlite similar to the one for sale by Dan. Great trailer and it weighs about 6400 loaded. The one for sale is a super deal. I looked hard for a used one but could not find it. You wont be sorry if you go that route.

An enclosed Trailex with Race Ramps is a perfect set up. In the meanwhile, get yourself the Race Ramps and some plastic window covers for your open trailer.
