Default Winter storage--need advice

We get freezing weather for much of December-March, but it never gets really cold--rarely below 25* F. / -4* C. I can store the 996 cup on rain tires either (1) in my unheated trailer or (2) in an above freezing commercial building. Race tires are in my heated basement not near any ozone sources.

The advantage of the commercial building is the higher temperature, but access is very difficult. The advantage of the trailer is easy access, but lower temperature. Which would you do? In other words, how bad is it to store the car in temperatures around freezing for a few months?

Seems like a no brIner if you can store the car in a heated garage. Access is secondary to the risk of allowing the car to be exposed to freezing temps.

Agreed, cold sounds bad, but with the coolant as specified by Porsche for these cars what actually is bad about the cold?

Stabilize the fuel. Add some Porsche coolant to protect from freezing. Over inflate tires to about 55. Don't store it with and unsprung tireless suspension. Use some type of non R compound tire.

Just put some old tires on it and antifreeze in the rads...it'll be fine. fuel stabilizer if it is going to be 6 months or longer, if a fuel cell just pump the fuel out and use it in your winter car. i store mine in storage units all winter, it's dry with no humidity...but they always get damn cold !

Why should you not store with unsprung tireless suspension?

Sensitive suspension parts get exposed to the elements, that normally don't see this longer term exposure.
