Default Random Questions 997 Cup/WC

For S&G I started comparing mechanical engine part numbers to see what exactly was used to build the 3.8L WC engine. Thus far it looks like it is basically a Cup S, bored, with RSR pistons and exhaust, and the smaller 82mm throttle body (restricted to 68.6mm). I am left with a few questions so here goes:

Does anyone have parts numbers for the 2009 3.8L WC Engine: Cylinder liners, pistons, Conrod, Cylinder Housing, Camshaft housing (2x), Valves (2x), and Flywheel?

What is the designation for this engine? (I assume M97/7something)

Does anyone have a parts/tech catalog for the Cup Grand Am MY 2009?

Thanks,
Andrew

I have a 2010 WC Cup. It has a sealed PMNA motor and they claim it is all stock. I have not been able to confirm anything beyond that. Will have to wait till rebuild time.

The exhaust is not stock but the intake appears to be.

I have been told it might have an S cam but have not confirmed it

Good luck.

Whoops, I guess I forgot to mention I am specifically looking @ 2009 Specs. since that is the year the Cup S body work was also used in both GA and WC.

I can confirm that the parts numbers for the 2010 WC engine are different than the 2010 Cup for: Crankcase, Crankshaft, Cylinder Housing, Induction Manifold, and Throttle blade housing.

The 2010 WC exhaust camshaft part numbers are the same as 2010 Cup and the Cup S. The Intake camshaft is the same as 2010 Cup, which is different than Cup S.

in 2008 and 2009 we ran 2 ring 3.8 high compression motors in PWC.
In 2010, we ran stock motors with a slight adjustment in the factory tune....
