I would've thought you wanted front tires wider not necessarily rear...
FWIW the 6's in my group regularly run 245/640 and 285/680. Beyond that you'll need wheel
modifications possibly fender too.

245/645/18 front
305/680/18 rear
They can use more camber than Michelin.
Beware if your car has been aligned with/for the Michelins. The Pirellis are a bit bigger and I managed to rip a front side indicator out by running Pirellis without an adjusted alignment (which, of course, ripped the wiring loom of the front headlights) . Then again mine is not the standard Cup alignment I think but one that was created by the Porsche shop that maintains my car.

Note that the factory settings above are for a 660 Pirelli on the rear. The PCA mandated tire is a 680 rear. The larger diameter/height of the 680 required me to modify the rear fenders on my 2001 Cup to stop the rear tires from rubbing. (My crew handled with some serious hammer banging.....I could not watch).

Good remark!
Never saw this (since I have everything done by a shop), but I am also running 680 in the rear.
