Default 993 Factory Race Car Values

The 'GT2' shown in the pictures of the previous post seems to be an example of the tendency of these cars to have been modified over the years from their original factory delivered configuration. The front end is not original and I don't think the intercooler is either. The pix don't show the rear wing but I suspect that isn't factory original either. The 795K Euro asking price is an example of how much some people 'think' some one else will pay for one of these cars. There is a 993 Super Cup 3.8 (315 HP) on another website with an asking price of 455K Euros (that's a cool half a million bucks!). That car is in Germany, I believe though the selling agent for the car is in the UK. I don't think any would pay 455K Euros or 755K Euros for either of those cars but some people have the stones to ask. Maybe half to 3/4 of those amounts are possible.

I know most of you are 911 freaks but dont forget the first Cup car the 944 Turbo Cup.
It was made between 1986-1989 in 192 examples with the -86 car differring the most in spec (least developed) 46 -86 cars was built.

Also these cars has had a big rise in value and very hard to come by.

I think the 996 Cup will be a true classic on behalf of it's simplicity and the fact that it's the first gt3 cup car.

This is a registry of 997 RSR's by year and VIN and has info as to where they are today. Wish I still has the 2008 I owned.

I know another ex Siekel 993 GT2, unrestored and tired.
Owner wants all of $800k for car and spares. I am tempted, but i think it is a little rich considering there is a 993 GT2 in japan for 350k.

Highest sold price i have seen to date on a restored 993GT2 race car is 500k.

996 Cups gor for around 60-80 these days depending on the condition. You think these prices will rise significantly in the next 5-10 years. I got to two and I am not sure that I should hang on to them on or not

Very interesting website. Ours, #47 is the last one listed in the 2007 list. I need to send them an email with some updated info.

The RSR is a very cool car. So many small things Porsche did different verses the standard cup.

From what i read in tech regs on GT3 cup racing & production numbers the vin's should be:

2001 996 Cup WP0ZZZ99Z1S698001 to WP0ZZZ99Z1S698114
2002 996 Cup WP0ZZZ99Z2S698001 to WP0ZZZ99Z2S698200
2003 996 Cup WP0ZZZ99Z3S698001 to WP0ZZZ99Z3S698200
2004 996 Cup WP0ZZZ99Z4S698001 to WP0ZZZ99Z4S698150
2005 996 Cup WP0ZZZ99Z5S698001 to WP0ZZZ99Z5S698090

This is the best i could come up with, happy to be corrected
