Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo 2015
Friends,
As you might know, some of us have been racing in the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo. The series usually runs on selected HSR, SVRA and other weekends. We typically have 2 sprint races and 1 enduro (all for points).
All races have a separate podium ceremony and press releases of the results. The series allows some drops and then crowns a champion at the end of the year. It is an amateur series which is run as a professional series by highly experienced race stewards led by Ken Fengler. Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy is open to all 2000 and later Porsche 911 GT3s and related models.
I think it’s a great opportunity for us to race on a competitive series with like-minded drivers. We race hard but have a strict discipline where avoidable incidents are not allowed.
The 2015 season has a very interesting calendar with plenty of races scheduled as follows:
Feb 12-14 PBIR
Feb 26 to March 1 Sebring
April 9-12 Homestead
May 14-17 Road America
June 25-28 Mid Ohio
Sept 14-17 Road Atlanta
Oct TBD
Nov 12-15 Daytona
Dec 3-6 Sebring
Contact Ken at KRFengler@aol.com for more details.
! Juan

I might come out and join you guys for a weekend to see what it's all about. I have been running a 997 Cup (3.6L) in SCCA GT2 for the past two years and am looking to change it up a little bit. Are there any major differences in the rules between SCCA and Mission? Spec tire?
Thanks
Thanks

Hello Glen and. Merry Christmas to you too!
Its open to post 2000 Cups so i would say yes but, to be sure, send a note to Ken Fengler with details and he can confirm. You can reach him at KRFengler@aol.com
Look forward to racing with you! Juan

There is actually a class for 3.6 liter and lower and then over 3.6 liter. 991's run in Group 10 of HSR but they do not participate for Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy.
Then Stuttgart Cup has 3 classes:
-Caymans driven by amateurs
-Caymans driven by pro/am
-Boxsters
I should mention that not all races run during HSR weekends

Jakermc,
For clarity, I do not own nor participate on the management of the series. I'm just a participant who enjoys it and who wants to see it succeed (so we have a good venue to race under!).
Juan Gonzalez of Mission Foods and Bill Ridell of Race Link are great enthusiasts who have kept the series going for years now. For us its a great venue at awesome tracks!
Events in 2015 will be run at HSR, SVRA and other events (the PBIR event will be shared with one of the Formula series). The idea being that we have an opportunity to run at all the good tracks and also that we have events year round (for example: HSR has a lull during the summer).
A year or two ago, Ken Fengler paired up with IndyCar and we ran the vintage weekend at Homestead as their support group. It was fantastic
We can post all queries here and I'll pass them along to Ken or you can contact him directly at KRFengler@aol.com
