My $0.02 (you asked ). If you are concerned with historical accuracy, sell it and buy a newer one or, save the original engine and build a 3.8 to 4.2 liter for your enjoyment until it is time to pass it on to the next generation. BTW, cost goes up exponentially from 4 to 4.2 I'm told.

Matt,
3.6 world challenge intake.
Responds best to cup s /world challenge/ or clubsport cams.
Must use early throttle body from 98-07 cup or the one on your stock engine. Spins to 8800. Likes higher compression Pistons.

Not ideal for big motor since you want to use the "pigeon sucker" throttle body from the late cup for the better breathing needed by the bigger motor.

I've got the early ecu you need if you Use the intake pictured.

You can also just bolt that on your stock motor and raise the rpm and you get some of the benefit, fyi...

thanks alot for that Glen ... yes I noticed this was 76mm not 82mm
... was just considering how to go about 'adjusting' that. Too much to ask?
I am running Motec so no need for Motronic.

A stroker 4.0 to 4.2 is nominal changes, only pistons cylinders and rods.

Biggest $$ increase is when you go from an all bore 4.0L to a stroker 4.0L or bigger...
