Default New Software updates from Motec and AIM

Just thought I'd give a heads up to Motec users. They have made a number of improvements to I2 and I2 Pro recently (latest was 11/13/2014). If you use either of these you should download the latest version from this site http://www.motec.com/software/latestreleases/

For those of you using the AIM Smarty Cam HD, they have recently updated the firmware to add a number of features to the camera menu. If you download this, read the "how to update the firmware" note adjacent to the firmware located here http://aim-sportline.com/eng/download/firmware.htm

Uhggg....per Readme Text

◾i2 Pro 1.0 math plugins & functions are not compatible (they must be recompiled and targeted for 1.1).

I have to rebuild several views. I assume there is no work around. For example, I have to rebuild the maths that show my understeer map.

I haven't explored the improvements yet....but thanks for the post😃

it seems from my first try that this is the case ... not great
please chime in if you guys find an efficient way to import 1.0 workspaces into 1.1 etc...

thanks

I don't have any complicated math, channels, or anything. But it took me a while to find where 1.1 seems to import your 1.0 project correctly.

When you open 1.1:
1) click "Open a Workspace"
2) Click "import"
3) At the bottom of the dialog change "files of type" to "i2 1.0 project"
4) select your project and hit open

The software seems to do some work for you and convert it to 1.1

Like I said I don't have anything complicated going on in mine, but some of you guys with crazy views can try that out and see if it works?

This whole thing felt buried to me...and I build software for a living, so I thought it might be worth posting up...

Guys, Motec just fixed some bugs in their last release of I2 and I2 Pro. Maybe this solves some issues posed above
