Default 997.2 Cup brake question

I'm sure this has been discussed at length but a search didn't come up with any current info. For a 2013 what are the options for rotors/ pads other then ordering the stuff from Porsche?

Alcon, AP and PFC all make packages. There are two benefits over the stock stuff: 1) Lighter 2) They come as a separate hat and rotor. I have a new set of PFC's I would sell and a couple of sets of used Alcons. (And rotor hats for both).

I will probably just add to the confusion here, but the early 997 cups up through at least 08 cars had 2 piece front rotors which I would think you can still run as that was how the cars came and you can still buy them from PMNA. Unfortunately, they are still drilled though. As far as running any other 2 piece I would say that is not GTC4 compliant.

I run the OEM stock (2) piece and last time I ran the numbers I think after about 4 sets you are money ahead with the 2 piece but its not a big difference.

from the 2014 rule book...

A. Any type of non-floating brake rotor of equivalent thickness and diameter and iron-based friction surfaces is allowed in GTC1, GTC2, and GTC3. GTC4 may use any aftermarket rotors of equivalent thickness and diameter.

So if the washer was removed so the rotor could not FLOAT wouldn't that be rule compliant. I am not looking for the advantage but rather the cost savings of being able to run the Pfc hat and rotors.

Don't waste your money on the two piece Porsche rotors. There's a reason they went to the one piece...too many warped rotors and vibration.
