Ouch!
At 2:40, was that yellow/black car a Chevy Volt?

How can you road race on a dragstrip? When they get damp you can barely even stand up on them. Glad you survived but the start was a close call.
You should work on your blipping, especially important in poor conditions.
Funny about the kill switch!

There was a video here about 5-6 years ago where a car's cut-off switch got whacked by flying marbles and shut him down during a race. Tried "Search" but couldn't find it. His switch was postioned perpendicular to the track when on. He changed that shortly thereafter...
That was a old friend of mine PF in the yellow TT running with NASA for the first time. He's been a SCCA racer for over 35 years. He said that EVO or whatever it was stopped on the straight and he got sruck behind him scared to move left or right. Your video really shows how dangerous that was....

Yeah - it gets really hairy on the drag strip which is why we stay down the middle!! There were a lot of spins!
No, I am not going to Chuckwalla - we may rent it for a day sometime, but not going to attend the NASA event there this year.

yeah that drag strip is slick even in the dry. In the wet even with 134 whp you can spin very easily. Glad you guys made through with that light dusting of rain.
BTW on the radical... I don't think he has EMP, but I do think that car throws up alot of rubber. I have seen that when all you fast guys on slicks pass us it tosses all kings of crap up in the air. I think the sticky tires and going off line does that. The radical even worse due to limited rear body work. For some reason I remember him passing me in the morning warm-up in turn 1 entry and I think some debirs hit my kill swith pull cable handle. Mine did not shut off, btu the it sounded like might for second. Ah.. maybe I just remember it wrong.
Still nice driving!

Interesting how those things happen. One of my friends had it happen twice. First time was at Fontana. Debris flag is being waved on one lap. Next lap he is following another car in the area and suddenly... lights out. Turned out that the worker dropped the flag on the track. The first car kicked it up. It hit my friend's car right on the cowl-mounted switch and destroyed it.
Second time was at Thunderhill. He was following a similar car and class-competitor (Peter Smith) through turn 8. Suddenly... lights out. My friend new the drill, but he still wasn't carrying a spare switch. He was able to recover for the rest of the event.
He moved his kill switch after that.

There are some other interesting videos there as well, including a battle he had with Gary Boss back in the day at the Road and Track US Sportscar Invitational at Laguna.
