The first thing I did when I got the car home was to "undress" it. I removed all the old vinyl and most of the bolt on stuff. I did this both to get it cleaned up and to learn the car. This picture was just before it went to the shop to be flamed. It looked pretty good. I'm afraid it will never look that clean again. The car was in great shape when I bought it but it still took a lot of elbow grease.

Here is the before and after.

It's a Mohawk. I'm not sure which model. It's a lot more compact and less intrusive than a two post but obviously is no good for working on the center of the car. No mid-engine for me. Since the pic I've had a hole put in my floor that the lift sits in. No more boards. It works great.

I tried it all. 3M works pretty well until you pass out. I found that the stuff you buy in the drug store worked just as well without the fumes. I think it's called goo b gone or something like that. It's gold and comes in a clear bottle. Let it sit on the adhesive for 10 or 20 minutes and it works much better.
