How about the original Cup car.
This is the car that started the Rothmans Turbo Cup series. It was used in 1987
for the Mosport 24hr race by Deacon, Bye, and Cam Champion. Deacon was the founder of the series. They brought this car in to test for next years races.
I know it is not a 911 Cup but it's the car that pushed the series to where it is today!

I have talked to a number of drivers that was both in Turbo Cups and 964 Cups and they said they liked the 951 platform better. Too bad Porsche did not develop it as it could.
Here is a pic of my -86 which was a Porsche test and development car that never entered the series in -86

Wow that shot made me wonder how many right side drive cup cars are produced? I didn't think they would need any since they are track and not street cars. I lived in the UK for five years and never really thought it was an issue to shift lefty so I assume people could easily get used to shifting with right hand. What's the purpose of having a left hand shift cup car. Help?

Check the mirrors, wheels, hood crest logo and there is no air jack connection.
While this could all be based on a Cup car I think this is a street car conversion we are looking at.

very good point. I had looked at it on my phone and did not notice that. I am now on my computer and it is very obvious so the answer to my question may very well be zero! I was looking at the number 43 in picture above which is a little more subtle but when on computer definitely can see the difference. Thanks
