997.1 Cup - Oil in intake?
Guys,
As i tried my cup for the first time last week i experienced an oil spillage in the intake after each session. The bad thing is that it spilled also on the exhaust (not good at all!).
Oil is only before the throttle buterffly, dry after.
I put 1L more in the oil tank before the run, could it be an excess of oil getting in the vaccum line?
It seems that the dip stick isn't helpfull on this car.
Le Mans track has 2 really long U turn curves where you have a lot of side G force and could bring the oil in the tank to overflow from the vaccum (no non return valve in it?).
Any experience or advice would be appreciate.
Thank you.
PS: I assume there's no AOS on this car (2009)

A good way to read the dip stick is to put it up against a sheet of paper towel so the oil marks the towel. I have been told the level should be at the top of the highest marker and no lower than the bottom marker. Others have said it should be half way between the two markers.

Thanks for the input Spiller. I was half way between the 2 marks. But i still wonder if i hadn't too much oil in the tank.
Those cars runs 8.3l of oil normally (filter changed).
Edit: I finally found in the 2009 Cup car documentation the following remark about the oil level i share with you:
Oil level check
engine runnig on idle 1900+-100 RPM
operating temperature 90°C +-5°C
the ball at the end of the dipstick must be wetted
Just the ball, not in the middle of the marks. Means my oil level is too high and go back to the vaccum lines.
