I have a 2009 cup (997.1) with the original OMP seat, now timed out. I want to replace with Recaro Pro Racer HANS. Anybody done this swap? Any idea if original brackets/slider will work?

I did that in my 997 as original seat was too narrow for me. You need the Recaro brackets. I also went with the Recaro slider but 4 years later I don't recall if I tried the brackets on the original slider before going to the Recaro slider - I would think I did but no clear recollection. Stable Energies should be able to confirm.

Separately, the OMP Cup Seat is a good seat if it fits you. I would consider just adding a Brey-Krausse seat back brace until you save and splurge for a P1300GT seat. Now that is a serious upgrade. I found a used one last year about 50-60% of the very high new cost. NO REGRETS on the upgrade - seat does NOT move and holds you in position so well driving is easier and less tiring - so safer and easier to drive - awesome except for the price. There is at least 1 used on Rennlist for sale currently.

IMHO, as a part of the safety equipment, I change sliders when I change seats.
