Without reading the entire thread. I have available 1 puck . If still needed. PM or gofishracing@aol.com ALSO Full rebuild kit with pistons seals etc located. The actual pucks measure more like 34.69 for 38mm piston

Those springs are available from PMNA. It's a 997 part number. I have a complete set in my shop if someone needs some. I'll check this weekend and post the part number. Tried to figure out how I came across that part number, but I simply can't remember. I checked the '04 RSR PET and the '09 GT3 Cup Pet and no joy. More to come.

And I too, will be looking for replacement pucks. Anxiously awaiting news/progress from Ed and his team at Demon Speed.

Those spiders are only for 997- not 996 GT3. 996 GT3 & Cup ONLY caliper with 38MM puck I believe. I really hesitate to part with the spare I have at this point I think. Puckfobia setting in again. .

We received our pricing back for the ceramic alternative and the cost is outside of what we were looking for.

The non-ceramic alternative is still an option. We were not able to trial these at the Mid Ohio event as planned because the supplier did not complete the order in time. We are planning to trial them at Road America with International GT in May.

Thanks
Ed

So, here is our update on our special metal real world trials. I am going to include some of the testing information again.

Brake rotors are floating Pagid rotors

Brake pads are DTC80 Hawk pads

Bosch ABS

Track is Road America

Weather through the weekend was cold (55 - 65 degrees)

Metallic pucks were loaded into the driver side front caliper

Stock ceramic loaded into the passenger side front caliper

AP Racing 300 - 500 degree temperature sticker was attached to both front calipers.

Weekend consisted of two qualifying sessions and two race sessions. The Demon Speed car competed in the four sessions and won both races.

Lap times in the sub 2:20 range, so moving pretty good.

The side of the car with the ceramic pucks indicated that it saw 300 degrees, but the side with the metallic pucks never indicated. This is interesting because we had assumed that the drivers side would see more heat since it is on the outside of the majority of the turns and we trail brake a lot.

The weather was cold, the straights are long, so more cooling. We are going to try again at Watkins next week. But, the initial results are very favorable. We will also carry the testing to Mid Ohio for IGT at the end of June. Once we cross that finish line, then we will go into production.

If anyone wants to see what we are doing or look at any of the parts that we make, stop in and say hi. We will have a garage area.

Thanks

Ed

OK, here they are. Looks like the 34mm for the 997 cup rear calipers are not in yet, but the rest are. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Ed
