Hi everyone.

I need to add pictures of cars with the DSM wing uprights on cars to our website. Please send me a picture of your car with our uprights on it so we can post some.

Thanks

Great looking car!

Sorry to hijack, but I noticed you appeared to be running pretty high ride height compared to the other red 996cup here. Are you on Sachs or Bilstein dampeners? What ride height measurements? Would love to hear a bit more about your settings if you could PM me here. Trying to set my car up and I noticed quite a few of the 996cups running varied ride heights.

Ride height is deceptive. Rear fenders have been pushed way out and trimmed. Fronts have 997 rs,cup flares mounted onto trimmed 996 fenders.

Car runs 315 rears and 285 fronts. So it will look different versus stock fenders untrimmed settling over the stock 240 front and 280 rears....

Killer cars guys!
I have a question. Is there a benefit to run chassis mounted uprights over engine lid mounted uprights?

There is some benefit. The uprights mounted directly to the chassis eliminate a bit of the movement of the wing from a more stationary mount. This is more true with larger wings producing more down force. The advantage is incremental, though, with properly made uprights there is not that much movement already, also , even with chassis mounted wings there is still some movement.

A big disadvantage to this is that the decklid now needs to be pinned in rather than hinged in and the wing stays in place, so harder to remove the decklid and the wing is always in the way when working on the engine.

Thanks

Ed
